Question of the Day

If you grew up in the '70's, you probably have heard of all three of the legends who left the earth last week, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. I was a child during that time and I remember trying to imitate Farrah's hairstyle while enjoying the music of Michael. The memories I have of Ed McMahon reach back to when he advertised for the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, way before you could enter online. I can't tell you how many of those entries I filled out, hoping to see Ed at my door. Then, if I stayed up really late, I could hear that familiar voice introduce "Heeeere's Johnny!"

While all three of these celebrity icons were very different, they were very much the same in that they made an impression. Not just on me, but on us, those who found them to be entertaining and familiar.
